Newsweek 'must act over Koran case'Newsweek 'must act over Koran case'

Click on heading to read this article. Important!

What else can we expect from the US Army: a curse to humanity is what they are. What if the army of a Muslim country did that to the Bible. You wouldn't hear the last of it, Oh no, you wouldn't *outraged*

Salams,

I think that just to avoid more public protests and humiliation on their behalf ora story change kore botese je the report was wrong. Considering the stuff that heppens at Guantanamo Bay, this is nothing unusual. There have even been cases of almost nude women interrogating Muslim detainees. Some cases report them throwing fake menstrual blood on the suspects (who were Muslim). They know whats sacred to us and they take that as our weak point and mock us! May Allah (SWT) guide them. But the Muslim reaction to this was extraordinary too. Such heavy protests where people were killed? We need to demonstrate the peace our religion promotes. And even if they mock us, Allah (SWT) will always be the highest being - His status will never be undermined, no matter what they do. Only if they'd realize that *sigh*.

Plus you guys, this is a major sign before the day of Judgement. Because one of the signs is that the Quran will vanish from the face of the Earth, even from peoples hearts. The disrespect has begun (although it started much before).

I think rather than cursing these people we should pray to Allah (SWT) to guide them. Just like our prophet (SAS) prayed for the people of Taif, regardles of them rejecting his message and pelting him with stones so hard and so much that his shoes were soggy with blood! Subhanallah, we need to display such behaviour. May Allah (SWT) give us the iman and sabr like that of our beloved prophet Muhammad (SAS). Ameen.

Yes, we're definitely getting closer to the DOJ. The Qur'an is dear and near to our hearts and it hurts us when they abuse it.

About people being killed in protests, can you tell me more? I know that sometimes, govenments don't want the protest and exert force through police and then ther's a clash and sometimes casualty? Are you talking about something different?

I agree with both of you. i gotta tell you, atfirst when i saw this article, i wasnt sure if i wanted to read it.......i didnt want to see any desrespect for quran.....i wasnt sure if i could handle it......you know....i think you are right, that we should pray for them....but i find it really hard to do so......i mean if someone insults me, i would be really mad, but then there is allways a chance that i will forgive them if they appologize, but when someone desrespects our faith.....Islam, i feel it really hard to pray for them. i mean, yeah, iv heard bad stuff about islam, i'v heard ppl making nasty comments about our hijaab, iv heard ppl say that muslims are terrorists. even though i hated those stuff, i dont think they were as bad as flushing the "Holy Quran" down the toilet.......thats just plain wrong....they didnt jsut flush something so dear to muslims, they didnt just desrespect muslims, but they flushed down the words of God. which is worst than anything...........

About the ppl being killed in protests, go to islamicsydney.com and from there go to 'forums'. In the forums go to the page on 'Media watch and alerts'. There was a thread there on this and it was huge! I think the deaths might have been a result of govt intervention.

I get angry at these ppl a lot too sometimes but guys keep ur cool. They will be punished for what they do and Allah knows best. Anger is never the solution. It's funny how its so easy to keep ur cool with such people we r speaking about now, but when it comes 2 ur own family its just so hard! I get angry at my sis for the smaller things she duz (like listen to music and stuff) but these ppl are doing something more sinful (disrespecting quran) astaghfirullah. My sis would neva do that (insha Allah). But I'm angry at my sis abt wat she duz and not these ppl. Is that wrong? I think anger is bad whether its at some1 close or some1 far. So I shouldnt b angry at either groups. Right?
